Jaya started writing stories and poems for the young adult category about 20 years ago. He then tried writing children’s picture books during the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020. His first book, Fru Fools Greedy Hoo, was accepted for publication in October 2020. This motivated him to write more. Lovlee and Huggy Save Happy Town was soon completed, and what fired him towards an early completion of this work was his love of giants from other stories. He then wrote Snu Gets His Home Back.
Happy Town was the flattest, most boring town on Earth. There were no hills and valleys, and it was too quiet. They had no visitors.
One day there came news that a giant rock from space was going to crash on Happy Town. People panicked and started packing to leave.
Lovlee was sad, but he had a telescope pal, Huggy, who lived on another planet, who told him not to worry.
Lovlee wondered what Huggy would do to help save the town. Was there a way?
Hoo, the greedy witch, was in trouble. She loved fly soup, but she was going blind and this made her a bad hunter of flies. But nothing could stop a nasty, greedy witch. She knew frogs loved flies too, so she waited until they lashed their tongues at flies. And just as they were about to zap them, Hoo swooped low and snatched all the flies. Fru, the cleverest of the frogs comes up with a plan to fool the greedy witch. Will he succeed or will all the frogs be denied their favourite food forever?
When the wicked wizard Dork casts an evil spell on Mommy Snail for trespassing and eating leaves in his garden, she is devastated.
Soon she discovers when her eggs hatched that the wizard’s spell had worked and that her strongest and clearest baby, Snu, was born without a shell.
The only hope for survival was for Snu to successfully win the race against Dork’s monkey, Zork, and at the same time make him cry. That was the only way to break the spell.
Can Snu do all this? Will he live?
